Great Music!!!
This is one of my favorite piano books. Most of the songs and themes are included in nice arrangements, although I do wish that they'd included some songs such as "Strange Thing Mystifying" and "Simon Zealots." Other than that, I highly recommend it.

JCS Music is easy and fun!
For anyone out there looking for the music and lyrics to perform Jesus Christ Superstar here ya go! i recomend it as it is not all that hard to sing/play and is all around good music.

Keeping Murphy Out Of Your Aquarium
Published in Paperback by Intelli-Type (30 May, 1998)
Authors: Alice Burkhart, Andrew M. Burns, and Barbara Doyle
Average review score:

At last, everything practical in one place!
This is a great book for the beginning aquarist as well as the knowledgeable. All of the advice has been gained the hard way, by doing it. Alice Burkhart writes in an easy to read, practical manner that covers all of the information a beginner NEEDS to know. I recently started a new 44 gallon tank following the directions given, and have not lost a single fish! This book will pay for itself from the get-go. If you prevent the death of even one Discus for instance, you have paid for the book! I cannot recommend this book too much, I just wish it had been available 20 years ago when I quit the aquarium hobby out of frustration over dead fish.

Only book a new fish keeper need ever read.
This book will answer all the questions for anyone who is new to fish keeping. Its easy to read and explains things like water chemistry in a way that is clearly understandable to everyone. It tells you what you need and how to set up an aquarium and in doing so will make keeping fish an interesting and enjoyable experience. I cannot reccommend it too highly, its a must for every budding aquarist.I doubt I would have needed to buy the many other books I have read if I had found this one first.

Kirby Puckett's Baseball Games
Published in Paperback by Workman Publishing Company (May, 1996)
Authors: Kirby Puckett, Paul Meisel, and Andrew Gutelle
Average review score:

A book full of great baseball games and tips from Kirby
"Kirby Puckett's Baseball Games" is about baseball in the largest sense. Yes, the Hall of Famer talks about the fundamentals of baseball as it is played on a regulation Little League diamond, but this book is also about tennis played in a sandlot, a gymnasium, or even a living room. This is for kids who play baseball when they do not have a bat or a ball, let alone a field to play on. The games are geared to three levels of difficult (Rookie, Pro, All-Star) and focus on the four fundamental baseball skills of hitting, running, catching, and throwing. You might have heard of Pepper, but have you heard of Bubble Batting, Capture the Glove, Freeze Fly or Flipper? The book also covers baseball rules (an early section emphasizes how agreeing on Ground Rules is important), examples of baseball talk (from batting average to rundown), various records for each aspect of the game, as well as lots of tips from Kirby.

It is amazing how much is crammed in this book besides the 34 games promised on the cover. Puckett co-authors this book with Andrew Gutelle, who has written several excellent juvenile books dealing with great moments in baseball history. The illustrations by Paul Meisel fit nicely into the scheme and content of the book. "Kirby Puckett's Baseball Games" has as much in its 100 pages as anything book for teaching kids the game as anything I have ever seen. No matter what level of experience your youngster is at, they will not only have fun with what they find in this book, they will understand the game better and improve their playing skills.

Inspiration for creative baseball practices
As a All Star Little League Coach of 7 and 8 year olds, and a MOM, this has sparked my imagination for coming up with creative drills. I've used some of Kirby's and some of my own, to pass on the love of the game of playing baseball at whatever level. Gosh, I love the look in the kids eyes, when they finally get it. Thanks Kirby

grouping poems to explain more about poetry
Kennedy informs students about the purposes for poetry by the categories he's formed. The selections are appropriate for elementary school children and is an instructive collection for serious poetry reading for kids 7-13.

Kennedy's collection is accessible, informative and a pleasure to read and mull over.

Great Collection!
As a teacher- I found this book to an incredible assest to have in the clasroom. This is a very exemplary eclectic collection. It contains a wide variety of poem forms, styles, and authors. Usefully organized into category chapters, it easy to find a poem relating to a topic. The book is organized into useful sections that have equally as useful subcategories. These divisions make it easy to use these poems during a unit on poetry. The wide variety of types of poems in the book also is useful to assimilate these poems into the curriculum, either as a transitional piece or within a topic discussion. The students LOVE hearing these poems!

Authors: Henry R. Cheeseman, Alan C. Roline, Rajiv Vaidyanathan, and Andrew T. Stull

Excellent resource
I used this book for my Business Law class in my community college, and I was thoughly satisfied. Simply reading the book alone without instruction can give one a wealth of pratical knowledge about the law and how it affects the business process.

Excellent!
This book is an excellent resource for people who are not going into the legal profession to become a little more legally literate, and to get a good understanding on how the law works. It explains concepts and the like in plain English, and presents relevant cases showing the law at work in plain English. A must-buy for anyone who is seeking to be more knowledgeable in the way the law works.

Leviticus
Published in Hardcover by Banner of Truth (August, 1981)
Author: Andrew A. Bonar
Average review score:

Quick Review
Intermediate level of study that has been a "classic" for over 100 years. Conservative evangelical commentary by a famous Scotsman.

See the early revelation of Christ in Leviticus
One might think that a commentary on Leviticus would be as dry as a mouthful of sand in the desert, but Scottish preacher Andrew Bonar unfolds and unpacks the beauty to be found in the third book of the Scriptures. Bonar lived and served as a pastor in the 19th century and was a friend of Robert Murray M'Cheyne. He and M'Cheyne had a passion for understanding how the types in the Old Testament showed Christ, since all Scripture speaks of him. Bonar's explanations are simple, yet highly accurate and devotional. One will not only see the connections between the Jewish sacrificial system and the Messiah, but will be led into worship and praise. Highly recommended for all who take their Bible seriously. Also recommended is Bonar's brother Horatius' "Everlasting Righteousness".

The Light of Christ: Iconography of Gregory Kroug: Text and Photographs
Published in Paperback by St Vladimirs Seminary Pr (August, 2001)
Author: Andrew Tregubov
Average review score:

Gregory Kroug, Iconographer
The extraordinary luminosity of Fr. Kroug's iconography is clear in the large color photos. The detail allows one to look at the layers in his tempera/fresco technique, as well as his unique manner of highlighting. His use of color, while within the canonical guidelines, is uniquely modern and is attuned to the 20-21st centuries. His icons, like the "Descent into Hades" contain the essence of spiritual meaning, speaking understandably to anyone who regards this icon, believer or not. He has been compared to Andrei Rublev as a uniquely gifted iconographer. The two are very different in style, but the same beauty, joy, and faith shine through their icons.

I would recommend this book for anyone interested in general iconography, as well as for iconographers. It is very well done, and makes one hope more of Fr. Gregory's icons as well as his writings might become available in the future.

Unlike any other art that I have ever seen
This book totally surprized me. The format is incredible. The images are reproduced on a large scale that lets you look at them for hours. The commentary is not preachy or dry. It is a unique look at a totally unique art. The more I read the more I wanted to read. It's that good. But honestly since this is a book on art the words should only enhance understanding of the images, they do. Each image tells a story, one that you will want to read again and again. If you want to experience art that is not ordinary, this book is an excellent breath of fresh air.
